Following government policy sent to all dental practices in Scotland, we regret that we are unable to see or treat any patients for the foreseeable future. However, we are here if you need us for anything: please check the ‘Help & Advice’ section of this website or get in touch via e-mail or phone.
For those wearing braces, you’ll be pleased to hear that they will continue to work safely for weeks without our intervention - as long as they are kept CLEAN and not damaged. Retainers must continue to be worn as prescribed by your orthodontist.
If you run out of aligners or elastics, stick with your last set and we will get things back on track when life returns to normal. Until then, we hope that our patients, their friends and families all stay healthy during these worrying times.
Stay safe everyone.
If you want straighter teeth but are concerned about the appearance of a traditional metal brace, our clear or ceramic fixed braces are a fantastic alternative.
These braces are attached to your teeth the same way as metal braces, however, they are manufactured from clear crystal sapphire to make them blend in with your natural tooth colour. This makes them virtually undetectable to the casual observer!
The reason we fix braces to teeth is because they give us total control over each individual tooth and that helps us deliver the best results in the shortest time possible.
Our priority at Park Orthodontics is to produce high quality results which means we use only the best materials and braces. Our clear brackets are used widely across America and Europe because of their exceptional appearance, comfort and predictable tooth movement.
You've probably picked up a leaflet for clear braces in your family dental clinic. It is important to understand that these brands have been developed for dentists with no extra qualifications or training in orthodontic treatment. Often, these braces are unsuitable if a good result is desired. Andrew and Eddie's years of experience and training allows them to discuss all treatment options with you rather than recommending a 'one-size-fits-all' brace that will hopefully deliver a nice smile. We are also confident that we can better any treatment time promised by a dentist!
Patients looking for invisible braces often ask us about aligners like Invisalign. Although these braces can improve smiles, they still require attachments on your teeth that look like clear fixed braces! Because aligner braces do not give us the same control over teeth as fixed braces and can take significantly longer to complete treatment, we generally recommend clear fixed braces.
I was thinking about having braces for a good few years. When I was younger, say 16/17 I was told that I didn't really need them....but I noticed that my teeth began to get a bit more crooked as the years went on...My dentist recommended Park Orthodontics...and I decided to go down the route of white porcelain braces...I didn't want my braces to be in everyone's face especially with type of work I do....The results have been absolutely phenomenal, I'm just so, so happy with them...The staff here have been phenomenal, everyone is so friendly...and they've been fantastic from start to finish
