Brace Treatments

Park orthodontics offer a wide range of specialist orthodontic services for both adults and children to achieve a straighter, natural smile. Patients can choose from a range of the latest and most advanced teeth straightening options. Each of out treatments are provided by highly trained specialist orthodontists who offer a caring and professional service to each and every patient.

We offer a range of brace options form a traditional fixed brace to more discreet invisible lingual braces. Your orthodontist will work collaboratively with you to develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs.

Clear Fixed Braces

Clear fixed braces have become a highly popular treatment option in recent years, particularly with adult patients looking to improve the aesthetics of their smile without the visible ‘train-track’ metal brace. Our clear or ceramic fixed braces are a fantastic alternative. These braces are attached to your teeth the same way as metal braces, however, they are manufactured from clear crystal sapphire to make them blend in with your natural tooth colour. This makes them virtually undetectable to the casual observer!

The reason we fix braces to teeth is because they give us total control over each individual tooth and that helps us deliver the best results in the shortest time possible. Our priority at Park Orthodontics is to produce high quality results which means we use only the best materials and braces. Our clear brackets are used widely across America and Europe because of their exceptional appearance, comfort and predictable tooth movement.

Invisible Lingual Braces

We are delighted to be one of the few practices in Scotland with years of experience in treating patients with this exciting technology. Andrew McGregor has now improved over 100 smiles with lingual braces and they are fast becoming one of our most popular treatment types in adults.

Lingual braces can be used to straighten any misaligned teeth or bite problems, using state of the art fixed braces that are attached to the inside of the teeth. This allows us to put the teeth into the correct position without the braces having to be seen!

If you are considering having lingual braces fitted in Glasgow then please use our contact form and one of our team will be in touch to discuss your options.

It is worth considering that lingual braces have become increasingly popular with a lot of actors and actresses who are searching for a method that won’t be as noticeable as traditional orthodontic braces. Unlike standard brackets which generally come out a packet and are ‘one size fits all’, lingual braces are custom-made for each tooth.

Damon Braces

As one of Glasgow's leading orthodontic providers, we are proud to be one of the few clinics in the UK to offer fully customised Damon braces. The brackets on this type of brace are much smaller than those of conventional fixed braces, making them easier to clean and more aesthetically pleasing. Damon braces use a special self-ligating system to connect archwires to brackets, meaning less force is required to teeth to their desired position. Damon braces are a great option for working adults as they are more discreet and reduce the need for in-clinic appointments.

Mini Braces

People often get in touch with us seeking improvement in the appearance of their smile in the shortest time possible. Often this is due to an upcoming event such as a wedding or a significant birthday. Sometimes simply the thought of wearing a brace for a long time is putting them off!

It is true that comprehensive orthodontic treatment often requires wearing a brace for a year or more to fully correct tooth and bite position. This ensures high quality results that should last a lifetime with good retainer wear after the brace is removed. When treatment time is important to a patient we can discuss the 'mini brace' options.

All of the braces we use to straighten teeth come in a mini brace option which move the front eight teeth only. This means you could still have metal fixed braces, clear fixed braces, invisible lingual braces or clear aligners to move your teeth. Because this treatment is only designed to improve the appearance of the smile or help general alignment, it takes an average of six months to complete and often less time!
