Ross brings years of experience in general and cosmetic dentistry along with a professional and empathic style which puts patients at ease, ~ Dr Andrew Mcgregor, Owner Park Orthodontics.
Ross’ treatment philosophy focuses on excellent communication and empowering patients to make the best choices for their smiles. He particularly loves seeing their confidence grow as their treatment progresses.
Dr. Pencovich graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2016. During this undergraduate training, he developed a passion for orthodontics, culminating in a nationwide project assessing the effectiveness of orthodontic treatment in Scotland, for which he gained international publication and a top mark.
Following graduation, Ross completed 3 years of postgraduate training, gaining experience in orthodontics, facial surgery and restorative dentistry. In addition to developing his clinical skills, Ross has presented at several national/international conferences, co-founded the Aberdeen Odontological Society, and gained further publications in orthodontic journals. During this time, he particularly enjoyed teaching other dentists and dental students across a variety of dental disciplines.
Following this, Ross went on to work in general dental practice, where he gained a varied skillset and treated a wide variety of patients. He undertook a year-long course in advanced aesthetic dentistry in London, but he still found himself being increasingly drawn towards orthodontics. This resulted in him undertaking further training to allow him to provide Invisalign and fixed appliances to his patients.
Dr. Pencovich’s unwavering belief in the benefits of lifelong learning is a testament to his commitment to his patients. He consistently dedicates time to further his orthodontic knowledge and is currently in the process of completing a comprehensive 2-year course to ensure he remains at the forefront of all the latest advances in the field.
Dr. Pencovich’s interests extend beyond orthodontics. He finds joy in staying active, whether it’s taking his spaniels for a walk or embarking on a rock-climbing adventure with friends. His work history is equally diverse, having previously served as a wedding piper and a mountaineering instructor, which speaks to his adaptability and versatility.
