Jen White

Jen is a highly experienced and compassionate dental hygienist at Park Orthodontics. After graduating from Glasgow Dental Hospital in 2001, Jen embarked on a diverse and enriching career that began with roles in London.

She was a staff hygienist at Kings Cross Hospital and worked within the Oral Cancer Unit at Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospital. In these roles, she provided crucial support to patients undergoing oral cancer treatment, gaining invaluable knowledge and confidence in managing complex conditions and treatments.

Returning to Glasgow full-time, Jen has worked across general practices and specialist referral clinics, with a recent focus on periodontics and implant patients. Her unwavering dedication to continuous learning and staying abreast of the latest advancements in her field has led her to present at various dental conferences over the past 20 years, educating both dentists and fellow hygienists.

She has also contributed articles to dental magazines, covering topics such as tooth whitening and engaging readers with a monthly column on lighter dental topics.

Jen’s deep-rooted passion for periodontics and implant dentistry has naturally extended to orthodontics, an area she finds both fascinating and integral to comprehensive patient care.

She is thrilled to be part of the Park Orthodontics team, where she looks forward to expanding her knowledge and contributing to the clinic’s high standards of care.

One of Jen’s favourite aspects of her role is building relationships with her patients. She values hearing their stories and ensures confidentiality, creating a welcoming and trusting environment.

She is particularly excited about introducing a new approach to hygiene appointments at Park Orthodontics.

Moving beyond the traditional ‘scale and polish’, Jen utilises a gentle yet powerful system that highlights plaque in the mouth, offers easy home-care solutions, and cleans teeth with a warm water spray mixed with a soft antibacterial powder. This method removes plaque and staining and gives patients a comfortable, pleasant, clean feeling.

Outside of her professional life, Jen enjoys taking her two dogs on long walks, travelling whenever possible, and practising hot yoga to maintain balance and well-being.

Jen’s dedication to patient care, continuous learning, and innovative practices make her a valuable member of the Park Orthodontics team.
