“Kim started with us in reception but showed a keen interest in what was happening in the surgeries. Having completed her dental nurse qualification, Kim has grown into the role and is setting a superb example to trainees now joining us.” ~ Dr Andrew Mcgregor, Owner Park Orthodontics.
Kimberley’s dental career started when she joined Park Orthodontics in December 2019 as a trainee dental nurse.
Kimberly had worked in administration roles before deciding that she was ready for a career change in the dental profession.
Kimberley confidently works alongside all our therapists and other clinicians, assisting in all procedures, and says she could not be happier in her work!
She feels fortunate to have had the opportunity to become part of such a supportive team that works so well together to provide the best treatment possible for each patient.
Kimberley has enjoyed all aspects of the training she has undertaken so far, even though the Covid-19 outbreak disrupted her dental nursing course and, as a result, took over twenty-four months to complete.
She worked hard to gain her level 6 in dental nursing Scottish Vocational Qualification through a particularly challenging time.
Once she has received her official General Dental Council registration number, Kimberley would like to start working towards gaining a dental radiography qualification so that she can not only expand her clinical knowledge but also take on more responsibility in her day-to-day role.
Continual professional development (CPD) courses interest Kimberley, as she is eager to keep her dental knowledge up to date; she undertakes any CPD courses that become available.
Kimberley is a popular and friendly team member who relishes building rapport with patients and helping them feel comfortable during their treatment.
Kimberley likes to explore graffiti art and the fantastic wall murals around Glasgow when not at work.
She also loves Glasgow nightlife and travels to hear the best club music in the scene. She also has a pet goldfish named Rico.
