Lia McGurk

Lia began her journey in dentistry in 2021, working towards her SVQ Level 7 Dental Nursing qualification through Mentor Training, which she proudly achieved in 2023. She started her career in general dentistry, gaining valuable experience and confidence before joining Park Orthodontics in 2024.

Having always been drawn to orthodontics, joining the Park team was the perfect next step in her career. Lia loves seeing the incredible transformations patients go through and how happy they are with their new smiles.

She is currently studying for her Dental Radiography qualification and hopes to complete her Orthodontic Nursing qualification in the near future. Lia particularly enjoys assisting with orthodontic treatments and composite bonding, finding it incredibly rewarding to help create patients’ dream smiles through tooth movement and reshaping.

Lia has recently completed her Radiography modules and Medical Emergencies CPD course to stay current with best practices. She’s passionate about supporting patients throughout their journey, especially those who may feel nervous, and always aims to create a calm and friendly environment. She also enjoys using before-and-after smile simulations to help patients visualise their results and feel confident about their treatment.

Outside of work, Lia enjoys spending time with her partner, family, and friends. She loves a good shopping trip and keeps active with regular gym sessions.
